The Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit (GSNU) stands as a tertiary level neonatal centre, equipped with 30 beds in the Intensive Care Unit and 42 beds in the High Dependency Special Care Unit at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH).

Our comprehensive services span from the highest level of neonatal critical care of term and premature infants to the provision of a thorough parental support and education program, guiding families before their newborns are discharged home or transferred back to local hospitals. Annually, over 1,600 premature and medically fragile newborns find specialized care and management within the GSNU.

The GSNU actively participates in the development of neonatal guidelines at both local and state-wide levels. The unit plays a key role in providing guidance for neonatal education programs, promoting research initiatives, and fostering collaborations with national and international alliances.

The upcoming seminar promises valuable insights and networking opportunities, with thematic focuses encompassing infection, the edges of viability, staff wellbeing, and research.

Delegates can expect active involvement, comprehensive information dissemination, and engaging entertainment throughout the event. A primary objective is to facilitate networking, providing ample opportunities for delegates to interact in the trade display area during scheduled breaks throughout the day.

We also extend an invitation to your organization to participate in the Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) 2024 Neonatal Seminar, organized by the Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
