Building Your QLearn Course (Secondary)
Event Overview
This hands-on, full day workshop aims to support staff to begin building course content in QLearn, in preparation for the 2024 school year. This session aims to guide and support participants in building a unit of work in QLearn.
During this session we will explore:
- A brief overview of QLearn, including Blueprints
- Getting started with QLearn, including managing course cards, simplifying your course navigation menu, using templates and basic module layout
- Creating a home page for your course
- Building content with pages, quizzes, assignments and discussions
- Engagement strategies in QLearn
- Designing an assessment task in QLearn
Teachers will have the opportunity to engage with other educators to share ideas and enhance collaboration.
Requirements
- CFT and charger – iPad optional – we recommend using your CFT for building content in QLearn.
- Access to your QLearn Sandbox or an existing course or Blueprint to build in – Please see the QLearn Account Administrator at your school to set up a Sandbox or log a job PRIOR to the session as you will be unable to build content in QLearn without access to either of these options.
- Bring along a unit of work and any resources or existing planning. We will be looking at how you can start using QLearn to deliver curriculum content.
This course is designed for people who have some experience using QLearn. If you have not used QLearn before we recommend logging into QLearn https://qlearn.eq.edu.au/ and engaging with the QLearn Essentials and QLearn Backpack courses prior to the session.
