ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION INFORMATION
Abstracts are invited for Poster presentations only.
The committee reserves the right to contact authors, if required to clarify the nature of intended presentations prior to making decisions regarding their acceptance.
- Abstracts will not be accepted if they have been previously published as a full paper.
- Abstracts will not be accepted if they have been presented elsewhere more than one year before the meeting date.
- Selected abstracts will be published with a citation in the Clinical Neurophysiology Journal
- Abstracts should contain no references unless absolutely necessary and where they are, no more than 2 references. These will count towards the word count.
- Abstracts are to be provided in English.
- If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you will be required to produce a poster which follows the required poster guidelines.
Posters are to be displayed (in the main plenary room) for the duration of the Workshop.
Presenting authors will be expected to give a short presentation during the Poster Discussion on Tuesday, 8th October between 2.00-3.00pm.
Format for Abstracts
Selected (previously non-published) abstracts will be published in the Clinical Neurophysiology Journal.
The body of the abstract should be structured with following headings in bold;
- Objective
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- Significance
Any abbreviations should be defined where first mentioned.
Abstracts that don’t follow these instructions will not be considered for publication.
Examples of abstracts can be seen in CLINPH.
- Abstracts should be a summary of the paper and must not exceed 200 words not including the title
- Do not include titles or degrees
- Abstracts should contain no references unless absolutely necessary and where they are, no more than 2 references. These will count towards the word count
- Check spelling and grammar.
- Present sufficient data to support conclusions – it is unsatisfactory to use statements such as “data will be presented” or “results will be discussed”.
Presentation at the Workshop and Registration
All presenters must register to attend the CNP Workshop and are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and registration expenses. A condition of acceptance is that at least one author presents. A non-author cannot present.
Submission Details
Abstracts can only be submitted via online submission portal. Complete the online submission form, and cut-paste your abstract in the text boxes provided. If successfully submitted, you should receive an automatic acknowledgement of the receipt of your abstract(s).
If you wish to make changes to your abstract you can do so until midnight (AEST) on Monday, 19th August 2024. After this date you will be unable to gain access.
Notification of Acceptance
All abstracts will be reviewed by the committee. Review criteria include relevance to the Meeting themes, originality of ideas, significance of results, accuracy and quality of presentation. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author only, by the end of August 2024.
