Central Queensland Region has a range of opportunities for Teachers from all sectors, and annually recruits more than two hundred permanent Teachers to fill our vacancies. There are also hundreds of temporary positions annually, some of which also lead to permanent appointments.

The CQ Region consists of almost 200 primary, secondary and special schools. The region stretches from Gladstone and the North Burnett areas in the south to just north of Mackay and out to the Queensland border including the larger western centres of Longreach and Emerald as well as the coalfields. Working in Central Queensland will let you:

• Experience rural and remote service
• Have possible access to subsidised Departmental accommodation
• Receive Remote Area Incentives in schools rated four or above
• Gain a higher rate of transfer points
• Be eligible for payment of a locality allowance
