A/Prof Alex Ades is an extensively trained minimally invasive gynaecological surgeon with vast experience in the treatment of benign gynaecological conditions.

A/Prof Ades is an expert on the treatment of cervical incompetence and is one of the most experienced surgeons in Australia and internationally on Laparoscopic Transabdominal Cerclage.

He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne - Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

He has been involved in public and private practice as well as academic tertiary education for more than 20 years. His formal qualifications include a Master and a PhD in Medicine.

He is the head of the Ambulatory Gynaecology Services unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital where he also works at the endometriosis and advanced laparoscopic surgery unit.

Alison completed her O&G training at The Royal Women's Hospital, and London's Guy's and St Thomas Hospital. She completed an advanced laparoscopic Fellowship with A/Prof Alan Lam in Sydney, and now works publicly as a consultant at The Royal Women's, The Northern, and Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospitals. She is thrilled to have recently set up a multidisciplinary private practice within the new Sunshine Private Hospital. Called 'Maven Centre', it is a one-stop shop for all women's health care needs, including gynaecology, pelvic floor physiotherapy, dietetics, a pain specialist and an IVF clinician. 

Dr Bronwen Eldridge graduated from Monash University in 1987 and obtained her specialist qualification (FRANZCOG) in 1997. Initially working as both an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist she ceased private obstetric practice in 2003 to concentrate on gynaecology. She has a broad experience in general gynaecology consulting, office procedures and surgery.  

Dr Harvinder Kaur is a specialist gynaecologist and fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

She is a graduate of the University of Melbourne medical school and undertook her obstetric and gynaecology training in tertiary and peripheral centres in Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory. This has given her a wide range of experience in the health issues of women.

During her training, she obtained the Crown Street Medal for best original research presentation on dyspareunia (painful intercourse). She has completed a two year fellowship in advanced gynaecological laparoscopy at the Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne.

Dr Julie Lamont is a subspecialist consultant gynaecological oncologist. She is a Member of the Australian Society of Gynaecological Oncologists and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Julie has trained in the surgical and medical care of women with gynaecological cancer; gynaecological pre-cancer; as well as general gynaecological conditions. She completed her formal three year advanced fellowship training at both Monash Health and the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.

She ensures that she provides cutting edge care for her patients and has undertaken training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as open surgery for gynaecological cancer and complex pelvic conditions. She is committed to providing full and multidisciplinary care for all of her patients.

Dr Waring graduated from Medicine at UWA. She completed her FRCPA in Medical Microbiology, Melbourne, Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Stanford University. Dr Waring worked as a Medical Microbiologist at Dorevitch Pathology for eight years, before moving to California to work in biotechnology companies for four years. She then returned to Australia and worked as a Medical Microbiologist at the Women’s and Children’s Hospitals in Perth for two years.

Dr Waring is Chair of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia’s (RCPA) Microbiology Advisory Committee.

Dr Waring has been the Director of Medical Microbiology at Melbourne Pathology for 14 years working closely with Epworth HealthCare medical and infection control teams during this time.

Dr Maeve Gallagher is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with over 10 years of clinical experience. Her formal qualifications include: MBChB from the University of Dundee, MSc in Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Her specialist areas include Acute Labour Ward, Gynaecological Oncology Surgery and Colposcopy. She is a fully qualified Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist registered with the General Medical Council, UK. Within the National Health Service in the UK, she has worked in London, Kent, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Most recently, Dr Maeve has been working with Médecins Sans Frontières Brussels as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Khost, Afghanistan. 

Maeve is an AGORA Fellow in 2023.

Dr Mary-Ann Davey is a perinatal epidemiologist with a clinical background as a midwife and a maternal and child health nurse. In addition to her clinical qualifications, she has completed a perinatal epidemiology-focussed doctorate, and a Master of Epidemiology.

Mary-Ann's research interests stem largely from questions that arose in clinical practice and focus on safely keeping birth normal and reducing caesarean section, breastfeeding and identification of fetal growth restriction, with an interest in long-term outcomes.

Mary-Ann works in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Monash University, and at Safer Care Victoria with the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity

Dr Michael Eller is a neurologist with subspecialty training in headache neurology and movement disorders. He also maintains an interest in indigenous health and tropical medicine. He has previously worked as a visiting specialist at Monash Medical Centre and Royal Darwin Hospital, and currently at Monash Neurology.

In 2003 he completed a degree in medicine from the University of Sydney. Postgraduate training was conducted at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Darwin Hospital and The Alfred Hospital. Subsequent neurology training was undertaken at Monash Medical Centre and the Alfred Hospital after which he was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian College of Physicians. He completed a Movement Disorder Fellowship at the Alfred Hospital. In 2009 he worked as a doctor in Vunapope, Papua New Guinea, with Australian Volunteers International.

In 2012-2014, Dr Eller was on faculty at University California San Francisco, attached to the UCSF Headache Centre under Professor Peter Goadsby. He conducted clinical and functional neuroimaging research in this capacity, as well as maintaining a headache clinic.

Dr Eller has published a book chapter and several clinical and scientific papers in high quality peer reviewed medical journals. His published topics include progressive supranuclear palsy, the use if biomarkers in parkinsonism, the utility of imaging in headache, the trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias (TACs), and visual snow. 

Dr Eller specialises in the management of movement disorders such as Parkinson disease, essential tremor, progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy, dystonia and other neurodegenerative disorders. He is  expert in administering injection treatments for cervical dystonia, blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm. 

Dr Eller also specialises in the management of headache disorders such as migraine and TACs such as cluster headache. This includes the administration of injections for treatment migraine and the TACs. He is able to perform  injections for axillary hyperhidrosis. He also manages other general neurological disorders such as vertigo, cognitive problems, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy and epilepsy.

Neville is a PhD candidate undertaking specialization training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Monash Health. In addition to his clinical commitments, he also contributes as an Adjunct Lecturer and Clinical Tutor at Monash University. Neville's research pursuits revolve around the investigation of an innovative and naturally occurring therapy known as sulforaphane. With a primary focus on understanding and establishing sulforaphane's efficacy, Neville aims to unlock its potential as a treatment option for various disorders linked to oxidative stress during pregnancy, including COVID-19 and preeclampsia.

Dr. Pallavi Shamdasani is a dual-trained rheumatologist and obstetric medicine physician. She obtained her medical degree from Monash University and underwent her training in rheumatology and obstetric medicine at the Austin Hospital, Northern Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Shamdasani is passionate about treating patients with a wide range of rheumatic conditions and is focused on delivering patient-centred care. She has a special interest in treating young women with rheumatic diseases, especially during pregnancy and postpartum.

Dr .Shamdasani has public appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Northern Hospital as consultant rheumatologist. She also practices privately at Northern Rheumatology and Specialist Group and Epping Specialist Group

Rachel Ryan is a private obstetrician and gynaecologist at Epworth Freemasons, and obstetrician at St Vincent’s Private Hospital

She has a public appointment at The Royal Women’s Hospital which includes teaching students and trainees and is part of the Women’s and Children’s Clinical Institute Executive at Epworth HealthCare.

Rachel’s interests include high and low risk pregnancy and all aspects of general gynaecology, including colposcopy and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Reema Kohli is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with special interest in the management of pelvic floor disorders. 
During initial years of her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she worked at the largest and busiest tertiary hospitals in Delhi. She has worked as a board certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India. She was awarded the membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK in 2018. To pursue her interest in management of pelvic
floor disorders, she has done additional post fellowship training in Urogynaecology at Gold Coast University Hospital, Varsity Lakes and Robina Hospitals in Queensland. 

Dr Kohli has presented her research on predictors of fetal growth restriction and  won awards for her research on new techniques to better visualize urinary tract in laparoscopy at various national and international conferences including the AGES Pelvic Floor Symposium in 2022 and FIGO International Conference.

Dr Kohli has been actively involved in teaching medical students at Griffith University in Gold Coast. In addition she engages in teaching medical students at Epworth Clinical School.  She is also an examiner on the RANZCOG Board of Examiners for Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees. 

Samantha is a generalist obstetrician and gynaecologist with particular interest in high risk/special needs obstetric care, minimally invasive gynae, surgery, heavy menstrual bleeding, & global women's health. Deputy Chair of the Barbara May Foundation, member of Medical Panels, senior gynaecologist at The Women's Hospital, member of Epworth executive. Training supervisor at Epworth and the Womens.

Sam's clinical interests include pelvic pain, endometriosis, management of benign pelvic masses and heavy menstrual bleeding. She is an accredited AGES Level 6 Laparoscopic Surgeon. Sam finds joy in providing patient-focused and evidence-based care to women with a range of gynaecological concerns. She endeavours to be a kind and thorough doctor, maintaining a calm and personal atmosphere. Sam is an active clinical researcher, with interests in endometriosis, fertility, pelvic pain and hysteroscopic techniques. Sam is actively involved with End-IT Endometriosis research group.

She is the current Acting Director of the Julia Argyrou Endometriosis Centre of Excellence at Epworth. Sam was awarded the Inaugural AGES/Hologic Travelling Fellowship for Hysteroscopic surgery in 2020 and recently travelled to the Netherlands to observe certain surgical techniques for Asherman’s syndrome.

Dr Lee is Director of the Women's and Children's Clinical Institute, Epworth HealthCare and Chair of Obstetrics, Epworth Freemasons.

Her interests are high risk obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery, general gynaecology including colposcopy and menstrual disorders, menopause.

Wentao is Lead of Evidence-based Perinatal Health Research program, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Monash University. 

As a clinical epidemiologist Wentao is interested in conducting robust trials, observational studies, and evidence synthesis (especially individual participant data approach) to provide reliable evidence that addresses important clinical questions. He also looks into the robustness and trustworthiness of existing evidence by applying methodological and meta-epidemiological research. 

Fran has been a credentialed diabetes educator since 1994. She works in independent practice and as a consultant at Warringal Private Hospital, supporting patients and their families to manage diabetes. She has a special interest in diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy and advanced hybrid closed loop systems, for which she is also a certified trainer.

Fran is currently completing her Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (Nurse Practitioner) and aims to have this completed by November 2023.

Professor Richard Gerraty is a neurologist with a sub-specialty interest in stroke and has had a long interest in the clinical aspects of spinal cord stroke. He did his MD on the perioperative stroke risk of carotid stenosis in cardiac and vascular surgery. He was the founding neurologist-director of the Acute Stroke Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and has also worked in stroke at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Alfred Hospital. He has been involved in pharma and investigator driven stroke trials in Melbourne. He was a member of the Leadership Group of the Department of Health’s Victorian Stroke Clinical Network, and was the Victorian chairman of the Australasian Stroke Unit Network. He is a neurologist in the Victorian Stroke Telemedicine (VST) program and a member of the VST Medical Working Group. He is a member of the Safer Care Victoria Stroke Clinical Network Reperfusion Monitoring Committee.

He continues his own research in vestibular and stroke medicine at Epworth HealthCare where he is the Stroke Service Medical Coordinator.

Rod Baber is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Sydney and is Head of the Menopause and Menstrual disorders clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital.

He is a Past President of The International Menopause Society and The Australasian Menopause Society and currently Editor in Chief of Climacteric, the journal of The International Menopause Society and an associate editor of The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.His awards include membership of The Order of Australia for services to Obstetrics and Gynaecology in clinical medicine and research and The RANZCOG Distinguished Service medal.

Wendy Fedele is an experienced and accredited dietitian. She has a Master’s degree in nutrition and dietics and extensive clinical experience working at St Vincent’s Hospital. Wendy runs a virtual dietetic practice specialising in nutrition to support fertility, pregnancy, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
(PCOS) and other women’s health and reproductive concerns.
