Stéphane Auvin is epileptologist and Child Neurologist. Chair of the Pediatric Neurology Department at Robert Debré University Hospital & Université de Paris, France. His clinical and research activities are focused on early-onset pediatric epilepsies and the epilepsy drug development. He is the deputy editor of Epilepsia (ILAE journal).

Dr. Ding is a professor and neuro-epidemiologist at the Institute of Neurology, Fudan University Huashan Hospital, WHO collaborating center for research and training in neurosciences, Shanghai, China. She received her medical, public health (MPH), and neurology (PhD) training at the Fudan University. She was the visiting scholar and exchanging scientist at the Chinese University of Hongkong (Hongkong 2006), the National Institute of Health (USA 2007), and the Institute of Neurology, Epilepsy Center, UCL (Queen square, London 2015). She is very experienced in epidemiological study of neurological diseases, such as epilepsy, cognitive impairment, cerebrovascular disease, Parkinson's disease, essential trauma, migraine, and autism.
She is the vice secretary general of China Association Against Epilepsy (CAAE), the secretary of the Committee of Patient Care of CAAE. She is also serving as the vice president of IBE (western pacific region). She is the member of Alzheimer's Association International Society to Advance Alzheimer Research and Treatment (ISTAART), the member of Asia Society Against Dementia (ASAD), and the member of Gerontological Society of America. She has been the member of ILAE Task Force of Global Campaign Against Epilepsy, member of ILAE Commission of Epidemiology, and member of ILAE research advocacy task force.
She was awarded the Young Investigator Award of ILAE in 2005, the Bruce S. Schoenberg International Award in Neuroepidemiology of American Academy of Neurology in 2006, and the Michael Prize (ILAE) in 2013.

Dr. Page Pennell is Chair and Henry B. Higman Professor of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. She is a clinician investigator with a focus on women’s health in epilepsy. Her studies focus on the effects of hormones on seizure provocation, pharmacokinetic changes of anti-seizure medications (ASMs) with exogenous hormones or differing reproductive phases, and maternal and fetal outcomes during pregnancy in women with epilepsy. She is multi-Principal Investigator of the NIH- funded studies “Maternal Outcomes and Neurodevelopmental Effects of AEDs (MONEAD)”, and “Physiological-based Pharmacokinetics Approach to Determine the Extent of ASMs during Pregnancy and Breastfeeding.”

Dr. Pennell has served as President of the American Epilepsy Society and Chair of the Professional Advisory Board for the Epilepsy Foundation. She has been elected as an Ambassador for Epilepsy by the International League Against Epilepsy. She has over 150 peer-reviewed articles in the field. She has contributed over 15 book chapters and been guest editor of publications focusing on neurology illnesses and pregnancy.

Nicola Specchio is Chair of Neurology, Epilepsy and Movement Disorders Unit at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, and Director of Research Unit on Neurological and Neurosurgical Diseases in Rome, Italy, and Visiting Professor in Locomotor and Neurological Disorders, Department of Development and Regeneration at University of Leuven, Belgium.

My main interest lies with seizure semiology and the classification of epileptic seizures and syndromes, drug resistant epilepsies, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies. I published more than 250 papers in many international journals. I am also principal investigator on different clinical trials in patients with rare and complex epilepsies and Developmental and Epileptic encephalopathies.

I am recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the Commission of European Affair of the International League Against Epilepsy (2016) and of the “John Stobo Pritchard Award” from the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) (2020). In 2021 he got the Ambassador for Epilepsy Award from the International Leagues Against Epilepsy.

I am current Chair of the ILAE Task force on Nosology and Classification, and since 2020 member of the Global Advocacy Council of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE).

I am Treasurer of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) Europe, and member of the of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA), and of the Italian Chapter of the ILAE.
