Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace Training
Introduction
MHFA is the initial assistance given to an individual with a mental health problem before medical treatment can be obtained. It is the help provided to an individual developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves.
Content
This standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) in the Workplace course teaches participants how to provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
With course materials tailored for workplaces, course participants learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in a co-worker or another adult, how to recognise and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem, and the treatments and supports available.

Structure
MHFA Training is comprised of self-paced eLearning, and an instructor-led component to be delivered via two video conferencing sessions of 2.5 hours each. Price includes eLearning voucher, MHFA Manual and MHFA accreditation.
