Welcome to the 2025 Progress in MS Research Conference.

The conference is Australia’s leading event exploring innovative research into the causes, prevention, improved treatments and ultimately a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS).

The conference is designed to promote the exchange of scientific thought, break down barriers to MS research in Australia, and to provide research updates to the MS community.

Emphasising the symbiotic relationship between the research community and the wider population affected by MS, the community sessions of the Progress in MS Research Conference will run in parallel to the scientific sessions, and will provide research updates and information on local services to the general public. This will be provided face-to-face and live streamed for those who cannot attend in person.

The Progress in MS Research Conference is an invaluable opportunity for clinicians, allied health professionals, researchers and the MS community to come together to access global innovation and insights, and to network.

The purpose of the Progress in MS Research Conference is to:

1. Stimulate innovative research into the causes, prevention, improved treatments and ultimately a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS).
    
2. Promote the exchange of scientific thought and investigation among neurologists, MS nurses, scientists, biologists, social and allied health researchers and other qualified individuals interested in advancing the field of MS research.
    
3. Encourage and support collaboration among national and international researchers.
    
4. Provide research updates to the MS community and promote networking opportunities between researchers and the MS community.
