Credit Card charges
Please note there is a 1.5% credit card processing fee and 1.5% facility service fee (2% for American Express) that will be added on at the end of your registration.
Registration
A registration must be paid in full to confirm your place at the conference. Unpaid registrations, or registrations with money owing are not considered a confirmed place until full payment is received. Unpaid registrations may be cancelled without notice. Invoices issued for unpaid registrations does not mean a place is being held. Registrations made within 7 days of the conference start date will not have the ability to request and kind of dietary requirement due to the cut-off date of notification to the venue. Any registration made after the 14th of July 2024 must be paid via credit card.
Refunds / Cancellations
Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the Event Manager
Cancellations received up until one month prior to the conference, 14 July 2024, will be refunded less 25% for administration and processing fees. No registration refunds will be made after this date.
As an alternative to cancellation, your registration can be transferred to another person in your organisation, if advised in writing no later than 5 days (09 July) prior to the commencement of the Conference.
Changes
One complimentary change per registration is offered. For additional changes there is a $45.00 change fee that will be applied.
SPERA Membership
$55 is included in the registration fee to entitle all full registrations and day registrations to 2024 SPERA Membership. If you cancel your registration and a part or full refund is issued, membership will not be applicable.
Accommodation Terms & Conditions
Pacific Bay Resort Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organisers 30 days before your date of check-in. Cancellations after this date will be subject to the hotel's discretion.
Once your booking is confirmed, you are required to notify us of any cancellation or modification to the booking. 100% of the accommodation amount will be charged for no shows.
Upon check-in we require a pre-authorisation of $150.00 on a debit or credit card. This does not need to be the card you booked with and can take between 1-14 business days to go back into your account.
Club Wyndham Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival receive full cancellation less $50 processing fee
Cancellations received within 30 days of arrival are subject to cancellation penalty of first night’s deposit for each room cancelled
Cancellations received within 7 days of arrival are subject to cancellation penalty of 100% of accommodation costs.
General Information
Attending
To attend NCRRE 2024, you must have a paid registration.
The conference is intended for academic and professional staff working within higher, tertiary and adult education. Persons wishing to attend from any Commercial organisation should first contact the Organisers to request approval to attend. If you are from a Commercial organisation, and have registered without committee approval your registration will be cancelled without notice. No soliciting by any commercial organisation, other than those who are sponsors is allowed.
Inclusion
Every effort is made to ensure all delegates can fully participate in all aspects of the Conference. Please include any relevant details about access, participation and dietary requirements on your registration form to enable us to make your Conference experience as enjoyable and productive as possible.
Dress
A smart casual dress code applies for all conference sessions and social functions.
Insurance
It is strongly recommended that delegates take out adequate medical, travel and personal insurance.
Liability disclaimer
In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, the conference organisers accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delegates.
Name badges
The wearing of identification badges is mandatory and will be required for admission to all sessions and conference social functions. Registrations are non-transferable.
Photography
Offical photography and videography may take place at the conference by a contractor approved by the Conference Organising Committee to document the event. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you authorise us to record you on photo or in film, and use these photos and / or videos as a record of the event, at the event or as a promotion for future events. If you do not wish to be in these recordings please let us know.
You may use small cameras or smart phones at the Conference to take photographs and videos/films for personal, non-commercial use, provided it’s not disruptive, intrusive or in breach of intellectual property or privacy rights or against the content owner’s will.
Liability
Without affecting any of your statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited: a) we will not be liable for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (howsoever caused, including negligence, and whether direct, indirect or consequential) arising from the use of or connected with our site or any products or services purchased on our site, and b) we make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service displayed on our site or any linked site.
Neither SPERA or Jason Thomas Events Pty Ltd shall be considered in breach to the extent that performance of their respective obligations is prevented by an event of Force Majeure, such as war, acts of terrorism, epidemics, pandemics or other health related events, Goverment advisories, earthquakes, flood, fire or other physical natural disasters.
Where our liability cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law such liability is limited to the value of the booking made. We sell accommodation from inventory supplied by each accommodation provider and we do not over-sell that inventory (we cannot accept liability for unavailability of rooms caused by an accommodation provider over-selling its own inventory).
