Cassandra Lowry is a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle where she is exploring the use of AI technology to support in the analysis and creation of quality mathematics resources. Across her career, she has held several mathematics leadership roles in primary schools, and she currently teaches initial teacher education students, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for mathematics. Cassandra previously worked as an Outreach Officer for the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute’s (AMSI) highly successful CHOOSEMATHS project, building connections with the wider education community, a role which continues to inspire her to find ways to shift perceptions around mathematics.

​Craig Barton loves teaching, doing, speaking and thinking about mathematics. He taught maths in secondary schools for 15 years, and was TES Maths Adviser for 10 years. He is now the Head of Education at Eedi. Craig is the author of three best-selling books: How I wish I’d taught maths, Reflect, Expect, Check, Explain and Tips for Teachers, the host of the Mr Barton Maths podcast and the Tips for Teachers podcast, and the creator of far too many websites, including eedi, diagnosticquestions, mrbartonmaths, variationtheory, and ssddproblems. In 2020 he was appointed as Visiting Fellow at the Mathematics Education Centre at the University of Loughborough. Craig has been lucky enough to teach maths and work with teachers and students all over the world. His two proudest achievements are convincing Kate to marry him (and stay married), and being the father to our wonderful boys, Isaac and Jacob.

John is a high school mathematics teacher from Adelaide, South Australia, passionate about fostering students' natural curiosity and presenting math in engaging, accessible ways. He joined Desmos in 2019 to help develop the Middle School Curriculum, which has evolved into the Amplify Desmos K–12 Curriculum. Before that, John led professional learning for educators, focusing on encouraging rich discussions about mathematical thinking. He also authored the free eBook Hook Line Sinker, where he shared teaching resources and a simple framework for sparking curiosity and helping students explore math more deeply.

Leticia Perez is a former high school science teacher with a passion for empowering students and teachers to use data in creative and engaging ways. Currently serving as a Data Science and Professional Learning Specialist in Science and Engineering at WestEd, she brings over 19 years of experience designing professional learning experiences across diverse educational settings. Aside from STEM education, Leticia loves the outdoor activities, puzzles, and time with family or friends.

Naomi is an educator and researcher at the University of Otago College of Education. A Bevan Werry Speaker for NZAMT and a recent recipient of a University of Otago teaching award, she brings a deep passion for understanding how people develop relationships with mathematics and how these evolve over their mathematical journeys. With a rich background in mathematics teaching in New Zealand and the Sultanate of Oman, Naomi maintains her teacher certification and actively engages with the teaching community, which remain integral to her professional identity. Outside of work, she enjoys competing in surf lifesaving and spending time with her family in the garden.
