HAERE MAI / WELCOME
Tēnā koutou - Hello
On behalf of the organising committee, I invite you to the University of Otago in Ōtepoti Dunedin New Zealand on 24-28 November, 2024 for the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry (NZIC-24) conference.
The New Zealand Institute of Chemistry is the association of professional chemists and chemistry educators in New Zealand and this event will bring together scientists from New Zealand and abroad to discuss the latest research across all fields of the chemical sciences.
Our goal is to encourage participation from scientists at all levels and from all backgrounds, providing a high quality and diverse scientific program, with an emphasis on early career researcher and student participation. Presentation formats will include plenary and keynote speakers, invited/contributed academic, industry and student speakers, and poster sessions to give all scientists and educators an opportunity to present their research.
Not only will attendees participate in an outstanding scientific program, but there will also be ample time for socialising and building collaborative networks during breaks and at the conference dinner.
Finally, we hope you take the time to explore our wonderful host city Ōtepoti Dunedin and the conference venue, the University of Otago. Ōtepoti Dunedin is a university town infused with Māori and Scottish heritage, situated on the lower east coast of New Zealand's South Island. Dunedin’s unique wildlife, heritage, and proximity to the Otago peninsula, southern alps and adventure capital of the world, Queenstown, make it a destination not to be missed.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ōtepoti Dunedin in November.
Ngā mihi nui / Kind regards
Associate Professor Allan Gamble, University of Otago
Conference Chair, NZIC-24
