NZIC-24 Call for Abstracts

We look forward to receiving abstracts across all areas of chemistry, including physical chemistry, theoretical and computational chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, organic chemistry, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, chemical education, materials chemistry, nanoscience, environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, and electrochemistry.

The programme committee reserves the right to amend themes.

Presentation types:

Oral presentation

12 mins + 3 mins for questions. 15 mins (including questions).

Must be able to present in-person.

Poster presentation

Posters will be presented during the poster sessions. If you are offered a poster, format details will be provided to you.

You will be asked whether you would like to present an oral, poster or either. It may not be possible to accept all oral submissions and some of these may be offered posters.

Awards:

Presentations (poster and oral) will be eligible for awards in the following categories:

Student: best oral presentation

Student: best poster presentation

Student definition: enrolled as a PhD, Masters, or undergraduate in the second half/semester 2 of 2024.

Key dates:

Opening submission date: May 10, 2024

Closing date: July 15, 2024, at 12.00pm NZST. Abstracts will not be accepted after this date.

Presenters notified: in the week beginning Monday 15 August 2024 via email. This email will be sent to the presenting author.

Additional submission information

You should receive an email acknowledgement from the submission portal immediately after submission, if you do not receive this acknowledgment, please contact the conference organisers.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the abstract – they will be reproduced as submitted.

It will be possible to edit your abstract after you have submitted it until the closing date.

If accepted the presenter will be required to register for NZIC24 for at least the day of their presentation.

In submitting you agree to have your abstract published in the meeting electronic handbook.
