Dr Anton Harding is a senior consultant paediatrician and paediatric endocrinologist, commencing at the Royal Children's Hospital in 1982. He established both the Austin Hospital’s paediatric diabetes service in 1995 and the young adult diabetes service (YADS) in 2000.

Anton has been involved in clinical research and the teaching of medical students for many years. He has been an examiner for the College of Physicians including teaching and mentoring of multiple paediatric registrars. Anton is passionate about teaching and the development of communication skills with staff, patients, and parents alike.

Dr.Christina Fong is a FACEM (Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) with a subspecialty in Paediatric Emergency.

She is currently working in the Paedaitric Emergency Department at Monash Children's Hospital and Epworth HealthCare

She spent 18 months training  at Boston Children's Hosptial in the US and has been working in the Paediatric ED at Monash Medical Centre since 2000.

Her other roles include APLS instructing, member of the Clinical Ethics Response Group for Monash Children’s Hospital and is a senior examiner for the ACEM.

Dr Lucas Annabell is a subspecialty trained paediatric and adult orthopaedic surgeon. He has completed fellowships at the Royal Children's Hospital, Boston's Children's Hospital, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, specialising in hip preservation, paediatric oncology, limb reconstruction, paediatric trauma, and general paediatric orthopaedics.

His specific interests include adolescent and young adult hip conditions, including dysplasia, Perthes, slipped capital femoral epiphyses, and femoroacetabular impingement, and has trained specifically to perform periacetabular osteotomies, femoral osteotomies, surgical hip dislocations, and other complex operations about the hip. He has also trained in numerous limb reconstruction operations, including dealing with benign and malignant tumours, limb salvage, rotationplasty, limb lengthening, guided growth, rotational abnormalities, limb deficiencies, and bone dysplasias.

Lucas enjoys overseas volunteer work and has been on orthopaedic outreach trips to Samoa, Vietnam, and Alaska. He has taught medical students from the University of Melbourne, Monash University, Deakin University, and Harvard University, as well as registrars in both Australia and the USA, and is a registered University of Melbourne examiner.

Dr Paulina Alhucema completed her training as a General Paediatrician through the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Melbourne and associated sites (Northern Hospital, Austin Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Mercy Hospital) plus South West Healthcare in Warrnambool and underwent extra training in Haematology. She also completed training at RCH as an Allergy & Immunologist and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

Dr Ramanan (Ram) Daniel is a specialist Ear, Nose & Throat surgeon. 

He grew up in Tasmania and completed his medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2010.  Ram commenced his training in Tasmania and moved to  Victoria to specialise in ENT.

He has completed training posts at multiple Melbourne hospitals including Austin Health, Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Health, Western Health, Alfred Health and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

Ram recently completed additional fellowship training in Paediatric Airway and Head & Neck in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. During this time he further developed clinical skills in complex paediatric patients including aerodigestive disease, sleep apnoea surgery, paediatric head and neck pathology and airway reconstruction.

Outside of work, Ram loves spending time with his young family.  He also enjoys playing piano, having achieved a Licentiate Diploma of Music (LMusA) in piano during his school years.

Trained in general and developmental behavioural paediatrics at the Royal Childrens Hospital, Suba has clinical and research interests in acute paediatric medicine, eating disorders, autism and neonatal medicine. 

She is the Deputy Director of the Women's and Children's Clinical Institute at Epworth HealthCare and chairs the Epworth Paediatric Audits. Suba was the primary author of the Victorian Covid-19 and Eating Disorders Guidance for clinicians and families and is a current member of the Victorian Department of Health Eating Disorders Strategy Clinicians Reference Group. 

Suba works publicly at Austin Health. She is an educational supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and an examiner for the University of Melbourne Medical School. She helped establish the Australian Paediatric Research Network for general paediatricians in collaboration with the Royal Children's Hospital and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians

Kate has been working in the field of paediatrics for 15 years, which has included several years at Monash Children’s and working overseas at various paediatrics hospitals.

She has completed a Masters of Paediatric Nursing and Education, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Kate works part time at Epworth HealthCare and spends her other days at Monash Children’s and Royal Children’s Hospital as a nurse coordinator for the Victorian Forensic Paediatric Medical Service.

Kate works towards empowering staff to provide safe and quality care to ensure the best outcomes for our paediatric patients.
