Advanced Recovery Room Care (ARRC) Workshop

The challenges, opportunities, and benefits of high-acuity postoperative care.

ADVANCED RECOVERY ROOM CARE WORKSHOP
2:30pm to 5:00pm on Thursday, 13 July 2023
Royal Adelaide Hospital, Rooms 8D271 & 8D272, Level 8

Directions to Workshop:
Level 8 is easy to access from the lifts near cafes. Arrive at the hospital through RAH main entrance, turn right after the main corridor and take D lifts to level 8. When you exit the lift, please go to the administration desk. Click here for an interactive map of the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

This is an opportunity to hear from, and talk with, clinicians, administrators and researchers involved in the goals, current and future planning, and day-to-day delivery, of ARRC at RAH.

A workshop on 13 July 2:30pm to 5:00pm, preceding the Post Operative Complications Summit.

To date there has been a paucity of evidence on: who may benefit from high acuity postoperative care, what are the benefits and to whom, and whether this increases or decreases healthcare costs.

The evidence from a highly structured ARRC model of up to 24 hours of anaesthesia-led overnight care changes the evidence base.

This workshop will involve presentations from, and discussion with, ARRC anaesthetists, surgeons, nurses, administrators, and economists.

The ARRC workshop will be held at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is complementary for Summit attendees.

Confirm your attendance during the registration process.
