Dr Gideon Blecher is an Australian qualified urologist and andrologist. As well as covering general urology, he has spent several years in London's largest hospitals, acquiring subspecialty andrological training, which makes him one of Melbourne's leading surgeons in this field. He specialises in male sexual health and reproductive issues including erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, genital reconstruction, male infertility, varicocele treatment, incontinence, testicular and penile issues, as well as sexual dysfunction.

Dr Justin Chee is a urological surgeon sub specialising in reconstructive urology. He and his team at Epworth HealthCare have a patient-centred practice aimed at achieving optimal quality of life outcomes in particular for urethral strictures, male urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction.

Dr Amanda Chung is a urological surgeon and is skilled in urogenital reconstructive surgery, functional urology and neurorology. She operates at Macquarie University Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital. She completed her medical degree (BSc (Med) / MBBS) at the University of New South Wales in 2007, Master of Surgery (MS) at the University of Sydney in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016. She then completed a Fellowship of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (USA) in 2017. Dr Chung combines her clinical work with research and submitted her PhD on lower urinary tract dysfunction to the University of Sydney in 2023.

Associate Professor Laurence Harewood trained in General Surgery and Urology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.

Laurence was a pioneer of laparoscopic surgery in urology in Australia, carrying out the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in Australia at the Freemasons Hospital in 1993. He has researched and published on minimally invasive therapy for BPH. He has been a well known proponent of robotic surgery for the prostate and kidney, commencing with Robotic Radical Prostatectomy for Carcinoma of the Prostate at the Epworth Eastern Hospital in 2005. He has been the Head of Unit of Urology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, President of the World Congress of Endourology and a Board Member of the Freemasons Hospital. He was appointed Clinical Associate Professor in Urology in the Department of Surgery of the University of Melbourne in 2008. He is the Director of the Urology and Vascular Clinical Institute at Epworth. He ceased clinical work in 2021, but continues in his role at Epworth, provides medico-legal opinions and is carrying out a clinical research project on PSMA PET scans in prostate cancer in conjunction with the Whitten Foundation at Epworth. He provides a consulting service for NanoKnife focal treatment of prostate cancer.

Dr Nicola Jeffery is a urological surgeon who completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Urology) in 2018.  She completed a further three years of fellowship training in her sub specialty interest of reconstructive urology at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh and at the University College London Hospital..  Under the mentorship of world leaders Professor Anthony Mundy and A/Prof Daniela Andrich in London, she gained valuable experience in the management of patients with urethral stricture, urinary incontinence and complications of prostate cancer treatment.

Dr Wai Gin (Don) Lee, MBChB, PhD, FRACS (he/him) is a consultant urological surgeon and andrologist at University College London Hospital. His main practice encompasses all aspects of male sexual health including erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and male infertility. He has a sub-specialist interest in complex penile prosthetic surgery and penile reconstruction (phalloplasty) for gender affirmation surgery and those assigned male at birth. He serves on the Executive Committee (Board) of both the European and British Societies for Sexual Medicine (ESSM and BSSM). He is the Co-Chair for the International Society for Sexual Medicine Scientific Review Committee and serves on the Editorial Board of the Video Journal of Sexual Medicine. Teaching is a passion of his and he enjoys sharing his experience as faculty at the European School of Urology and as invited faculty at national and international conferences.

A/Prof Daniel Moon is a urologist with subspecialty expertise in robotic prostate and renal surgery.  He served as the inaugural Director of Robotic Surgery at Epworth Healthcare 2012-2017 and is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne. He has performed over 2000 robotic procedures, published the first Australian series of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in 2008, performed the first Australian robotic cysto-prostatectomy in 2009, and established a robotic partial nephrectomy program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, publishing the first Australian series of this procedure in 2014 and the largest Australian partial nephrectomy series in 2017. 

Dr Allen Morey is a reconstructive urologist in private practice in North Dallas where he directs a SMSNA endorsed fellowship in Prosthetic and Reconstructive Urology. 

Having completed over 4000 urethral reconstruction surgeries and published over 510 peer reviewed articles, Dr. Morey has been a global thought leader in academic Reconstructive Urology for the past three decades.  From 2007 until 2023 he was Professor and Distinguished Chair of Reconstructive Urology in Honor of Allen F. Morey, MD in the Department of Urology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.  There he directed the successful Urologic Trauma, Reconstruction, and Prosthetics Fellowship program, mentoring 23 graduates, most of whom are now in academic practice and 6 of whom are currently fellowship program directors themselves.  

Dr. Morey has been an innovator in sexual medicine and prosthetic urology, having popularized submuscular placement of IPP reservoirs and developed new surgical solutions for refractory priapism patients which have now become widely adopted internationally.  He has been among the world’s leading implanters of the Artificial Urinary Sphincter and has published and trained extensively globally in male continence.  He served as President of both the AUA South Central Section and the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS). His previous honors include the US Army Legion of Merit Award, the AUA Distinguished Contribution Award, the Ferdinand C. Valentine Award from the New York Medical Academy, and the F. Brantley Scott Award from American Medical Systems/Boston Scientific for contributions in prosthetic urology.  

David Sofield is a reconstructive urologist in Perth Western Australia.

After graduating from the University of Western Australia he attained fellowship in vascular and general surgery in Portsmouth UK. He then undertook training in urology in Western Australia, after which he completed a dual fellowship in reconstructive and laparoscopic oncological urological surgery in Birmingham,UK in 2003.

On return to Western Australia David established Perth Reconstructive Urology and established Australia’s first comprehensive centralised service for the management of penile cancer. He has presented at the AUA annual meeting on penile preservation techniques in penile cancer and co-authored a number of publications in this area.

Currently David practices in both private and public hospitals undertaking a full range of urological reconstructive procedures including urethroplasty, prosthetics, male and female urogenital fistula repair and robotic assisted reconstruction of the urinary tract, as well as continuing to head the centralised penile cancer service.

He is actively involved in training fellow consultants and trainees in reconstructive urology and has undertaken several visits to overseas units including India and the USA.
