The Information and Technologies Branch is pleased to announce i-Educate 2023 will be running on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 September 2023 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The 2023 conference theme, Digital Innovation: Right Here, Right Now, is designed as a 2-day professional development event to make digital innovation less aspirational and more accessible to everyone, regardless of where they are on their journey. We will achieve this through the inclusion of a range of opportunities including interactive workshops, demonstrating how participants can use digital tools to innovate and find more effective and efficient ways of working.
There are three significant changes to the program design this year:
First sees the alignment of this opportunity with our department’s Equity and Excellence strategic agenda and in particular, the system initiative of Digital innovation in teaching and learning.
Secondly, the iLead stream will be a 2-session dedicated program for school leaders, facilitated by departmental staff and special guests. Showcasing inspirational digital innovation possibilities and tools, school leaders will be able to engage and collaborate with other leaders and take away insights to implement in their own school’s strategic planning. Leaders registering for this program will select two concurrent sessions on either Monday or Tuesday to attend. Delegates will then select from the array of workshops in the rest of the program.
Thirdly, we are excited to announce the introduction of a new stream, iAdminister, which is specifically catered to our Business Managers and Administration teams within schools. This addition means that we are prioritising capability building for this key group of staff in our schools. Delegates in this stream will benefit from practical experiences demonstrating how the application of digital innovation can enhance business processes and provide efficiencies in their own role, and thus, support digital innovation in teaching and learning at their school.
